After Dilwale, Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Ziddi, and Dulhe Raja, Raveena Tandon became Bollywood’s it girl in the 1990s. Raveena was known for her glamorous movie roles, but Simi Garewal knew another side of him and discuss the same on her 2002 show.
They judged an award show when Simi was left speechless. Simi said, “The first time I met you, I was in complete awe of you.” I doubt it. When was that? asked Raveena Tandon. Simi stated, “We were both MTV Awards judges. Remember that day? “You think I can forget that day?” Raveena asked. Simi said, “You went alone to your car after the function and these rowdies came and acted fresh with you. You defeated them alone. You beat them. Awe left me speechless.”
Raveena Tandon initially denied bashing them, then said, “Actually, I was quiet in a state of shock. I badly punched him. Yes, I did. Self-defence is a reflex, so I did that.” This Raveena Tandon avatar made Simi Garewal think she was “gutsy and unafraid.”
The actress, who appeared in Patna Shukla and Karma Calling, turns 50 today. Raveena recently appeared in Prashanth Neel’s KGF 2 and has expressed interest in future films in the franchise.
