Days after comedian Sunil Pal claimed he was kidnapped, Stree 2 actor Mushtaq Khan did too. Attending a Meerut event, the actor was kidnapped. The actor was reportedly given flight tickets and an advance payment to attend.
Shivam Yadav, the actor’s business partner, said the kidnappers tortured him for 12 hours and demanded a crore. They took Rs 2 lakh from the actor and his son’s account. Mushtaq fled after hearing the morning azaan, expecting a mosque nearby.
Shivam told India Today, “Mushtaq sir and his family were completely shaken by what happened. He always knew he would file a FIR after calming down. I filed an official FIR in Bijnor yesterday. Flight tickets, bank accounts, and airport CCTV footage are proof. He recognizes his neighborhood and even his boarding house. I think the police will catch the criminals soon.”
Comedian Sunil Pal shared a similar incident days earlier. Following an invitation to Haridwar for an event, the actor-comedian was kidnapped and demanded Rs 20 lakh.
He told Times of India that they had paid him in advance for his performance and sent a car to pick him up from the Delhi airport, so he didn’t suspect anything. In Meerut, a group of men allegedly transferred him to another vehicle and gave him a poisonous injection to scare him.
The kidnappers reportedly demanded Rs 7.5 lakh and gave the actor Rs 20,000 to book a flight back to Mumbai. The comedian said, “They promised to pay the ransom once they found jobs”. An FIR was filed at Santacruz Police after the actor returned to Mumbai safely.
