Starting today, Doordarshan will air 13 episodes of Shah Rukh Khan’s 1989 serial Fauji in anticipation of Fauji 2. DD National will air episodes Monday through Thursday, letting fans relive Shah Rukh Khan’s breakout show. Along with this nostalgic revival, Fauji 2 filming has begun in Pune, promising a new take on the beloved series.
Fauji 2’s announcement has fans excited for the modernised version of this classic story. Shah Rukh Khan fans are excited to see how the show will be updated for today’s audience.
Gauahar Khan, who plays Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur in Fauji 2, said, “It’s the first time I’ve agreed to a project without hearing the script. Sandeep approached me, and I said yes because I love Shah Rukh Khan. Surreal to be part of the Fauji universe, and proud to see Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic series reintroduced.”

Sandeep Singh will produce, creatively direct, and conceptualise Fauji 2, a modern army drama starring Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan. From today, DD National will air Fauji every Monday to Thursday!
Fauji 2, produced, creatively directed, and conceptualised by Sandeep Singh, co-produced by Vicky Jain and Zafar Mehdi, Creative Head Sameer Hallim, title track by Shreyas Puranik, sung by Sonu Nigam. Amarnath Jha screenplays Vishal Chaturvedi’s Fauji 2, with dialogues by Anil Choudhary and Chaitanya Tulsyan. The series marks Abhinav Pareek’s debut after Sab Moh Maaya Hai and A Wedding Story. Fauji 2 is directed by Nishant Chandrashekhar.
