A 32-year-old woman accused Indian actor Sharad Kapoor of molestation after he invited her to his home to discuss a project. She claimed the actor made unwanted advances and sent lewd messages. In new bombshell lawsuit, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is accused of sexual battery and acting like the ‘devil’
The Khar Police have summoned him to answer questions about the allegations under sections 74, 75, and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police say the victim was invited to the actor’s office on November 26, 2024, to discuss video reels.
The actor was charged with sexual harassment by Mumbai Police on November 27. The complainant recorded a statement against the actor. “She said Kapoor was inappropriately dressed and tried to assault her when she arrived. Kapoor’s obscene messages and voice note distressed her after the incident. According to police, the victim has sued him, highlighting the need for entertainment industry accountability.
The actor has not addressed the allegations.
Sharad debuted in Bollywood with Mera Pyara Bharat in 1994. Despite playing supoorting and antagonistic roles, he has worked with most stars in the industry. He appeared in Josh, Dastak, and Hrithik Roshan’s Lakshya. The Salman Khan-starring political drama Jai Ho is among his recent roles.
