Bhawna Kohli Dhingra clarified on her Instagram Stories that the child was not Akaay but a friend’s daughter. I’ve seen Virat and Anushka’s friend’s daughter mistaken for Akaay on social media. Our Akaay is not the child represented.” A source close to the couple told HT.
Earlier, Virat Kohli fan clubs and cricket pages posted photos and screengrabs of the child as ‘Junior Kohli’. “Junior Virat came to the stadium to support Papa,” read one caption. Some posts called the child ‘Akaay is VK’s carbon copy’, comparing him to a young Virat.
After their three-year-old daughter Vamika, Anushka and Virat had Akaay in February 2024. The couple hasn’t posted their two kids’ faces online. They also asked paparazzi and press photographers not to photograph their children for privacy. Both Virat and Anushka hide their faces when posting child photos.
