Monday evening saw Vikrant’s latest film, The Sabarmati Report, screened at Parliament’s Balayogi Auditorium. He made his first public appearance after quitting films. He was fine discussing watching the film with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MPs, but he avoided questions about quitting films. He ignored reporters’ questions about his Instagram post, leaving his co-star Raashii Khanna to discuss the film.
Vikrant told ANI and reporters that watching the film with the PM was ‘the highest point of his career’. “I watched the film with the Prime Minister, all cabinet ministers, and many MPs. A unique experience. My happiness prevents me from expressing it. I got to watch my film with the Prime Minister, my career highlight.” Raashii enjoyed watching the film in Parliament.
Vikrant retired after making 12th Fail, Sector 36, and other successful films. His post said, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. Thank you all for your unwavering support. As I progress, I realize I need to reset and return home as a husband, father, son, and actor.
He said, “We’ll meet again in 2025 until time is right. Last two movies and years of memories. Thank you again. And everything in between.” His Haseen Dillruba co-star Harshvardhan Rane thinks the announcement is for his next film, Zero Se Restart.
